Mahjongg Solitaire is a timed tile-matching puzzle using a layered mahjong layout. The challenge is to find matching free tiles while opening access to the pieces buried underneath or blocked at both sides.
Select a pair of matching free tiles to remove it. A tile must have no tile above it and at least one open side. Use the hint option when you cannot find another legal pair.
Look at what a pair will uncover before removing it. This version has no shuffle, so opening a blocked area can be more useful than clearing the first matching pair you notice.
Mahjongg Solitaire is a tile-removal puzzle, not the multiplayer table game. A selectable tile needs no tile on top and an open left or right side. A matching image in the middle of a tightly packed row is therefore a future possibility rather than an immediately usable partner. Check access before spending time searching for its twin.
Scan exposed edges and upper layers first. When you find a possible pair, compare the small details on the faces; similar suits can contain different tiles. The provider also identifies colored special tiles with matching exceptions, so follow the game’s highlighting for those groups rather than requiring every special pair to have an identical picture.
Before removing two tiles, look at the space each one will uncover. A pair that releases a long row or exposes a buried layer may create more choices than a pair sitting apart from the rest of the structure. When two legal matches compete for your attention, compare their consequences rather than simply taking the nearest one.
Be especially careful when several copies of a symbol are visible. Choosing one pair changes which copies remain available for later matches. You do not need to calculate the entire board, but checking the immediate newly exposed tiles can prevent an avoidable dead end. This matters because the provider explicitly says this version offers no shuffle.
The timer makes repeated blind scanning costly. If you cannot identify a legal pair after a deliberate pass over the exposed tiles, use a hint and inspect why that pair is valid. A hint can reveal an overlooked open edge or a special-tile match; use it to correct your reading of the board, then continue independently.
A hint identifies a legal move, so still consider what the suggested pair will uncover before removing it. The visible free-pair count can help distinguish a searching problem from a board with very few choices. Work steadily rather than clicking rapidly: selecting a blocked tile repeatedly does not change its access or reveal another layer.

A tile must be uncovered from above and have at least one open horizontal side. A matching face does not make a covered tile, or one blocked on both sides, selectable.
The provider explicitly describes this Mahjongg Solitaire version as having no shuffle. Plan removals around the tiles they expose and use hints when you may have overlooked a legal pair.
The provider describes colored special tiles that can match without identical images. Use the game’s highlighted groups to identify those exceptions; ordinary suit tiles still need a matching face.
