The King of Fighters 2002 returns to three-on-three team fighting without Strikers. This browser player loads the original Neo Geo NGM-2650/NGH-2650 edition. Build a team, choose its order and use four attack buttons, movement options and the MAX system; no app installation is needed.
Choose Play now, allow the external game player if prompted, then choose PLAY NOW in the game area. Let the Neo Geo startup finish. Click inside the picture and press Right Shift for a virtual coin; after the credit is accepted, press Enter. Select three different fighters with the arrow keys and X, then assign their fighting order when ORDER SELECT appears.
Choose an order before trying a combo. The next teammate replaces a defeated fighter, so selecting a strong final character cannot make up for never learning your first character. This guide verifies player 1 startup and short combat input, not a completed arcade run or network match.
Select three fighters, then decide who opens, who follows and who fights last. Each character fights individually until defeated. A stable team lets you learn spacing and special motions without changing all three move sets between attempts.
Put a character with dependable normal attacks first. Place a fighter whose meter conversions you understand later, where the team may have more resources available. Treat this as a learning order rather than a fixed competitive ranking; your comfort with each fighter matters.
The original Neo Geo layout is A for light punch, B for light kick, C for heavy punch and D for heavy kick. The browser keys below map to those game buttons. Hold away to guard; down-away covers lows, while jump attacks require the appropriate standing defense.
A+B performs a roll and C+D a blowback attack in the standard system. Rolls can pass attacks but can be punished, so they are not a substitute for guarding. Learn the difference between a small hop and a full jump before trying long air approaches.
The power gauge supports special resource decisions, including MAX activation with B+C when enough stock is available. MAX opens cancel possibilities for supported moves. It does not make every normal attack cancel into every special; routes depend on the character and timing.
Start with one short sequence: a normal attack that reaches, a compatible command normal where appropriate, then a special move. Check that the first hit actually connects before extending. Practice this outside MAX first, then add resource use once the basic motion is repeatable.
Player 1 defaults from the embedded player's Controls Settings. Right Shift means the Shift key on the right of the keyboard. Click inside the game before pressing keys; remapped keys take precedence.

Desktop Chrome on macOS was used to check startup and keyboard input on October 27, 2026. The game runs in an external RetroGames.cc player. No app or browser plugin installation is required; game and emulator resources still download after you start.
Android phones and iPhone/iPad have not been tested on physical devices. Touch controls, simultaneous button presses, sound and fullscreen behavior are unverified. Use a desktop keyboard for the verified setup; a smaller screen alone does not establish phone compatibility.
A page favorite only bookmarks the game. Automatic progress recovery and the provider's save-state or online-play features have not been verified. Reloading can lose the current session. For missing sound, interact with the game and check its speaker control; for ignored keys, click the game again.

No. This listing is the original Neo Geo NGM-2650/NGH-2650 game. Unlimited Match has a different roster and balance; modified editions may change moves and resources.
This edition returns to a team of three active fighters and does not use the Striker system of the preceding entries. Your selected order determines who fights next.
